Team Spruance Cadets head to Canada for Summer training

The three Sea cadets chosen to train with the Canadian Navy along with the Canadian Sea Cadets (Timothy Nasta, David Quintero, and Mathew McHattie) along with Al Allister.

At the last minute, the Canadian Navy announced that it regretfully had to cancel their promised transportation.  Al Allister, through NACAM, presented each of them with a pocket calculator and a pair of white socks embroidered with "USA" along with their airline tickets.  Commanding Officer Alan Starr, Mayor Naugle, a group of parents and Navy League members were at the airport to send them off.  Mayor Naugle sent each one off with a personal handshake.
